Tuesday 16 June 2026 Young footballers set for a fantastic afternoon at The Keep Cup Pupils from across The Keep Learning Trust schools got their football boots on recently for The Keep Cup, the first in an exciting annual Trust-wide sports tournament, which this year took place at Gigg Lane Stadium on Thursday 4 June. The event brought together children from all The Keep Learning Trust schools - Elton, Old Hall, Radcliffe, Park View and Greenmount Primary School - along with Mersey Drive Community Primary School, for an afternoon of football, fun and friendly competition. Hosted at the home of Bury FC, the tournament was organised to give pupils the opportunity to build confidence, enjoy healthy competition and celebrate being part of the wider Trust community. The afternoon encouraged sportsmanship, resilience and positive relationships between schools.

Wednesday 27 May 2026 Old Hall Primary School launches new Out of School Club provision Old Hall Primary School has launched a brand new Out of School Club, providing pre-and-post school wraparound care for pupils from Reception to Year 6. Children at Old Hall now have term-time access to the provision, which offers both breakfast and after-school care from Monday to Friday. Based on the school site, it has been introduced to support families by providing consistent childcare before and after the school day. As part of the school’s newest venture, children can access a range of activities that show a clear understanding of children’s physical, emotional and social development, with the importance of a healthy breakfast in the morning and time to relax and socialise at the end of the day highlighted in the packed-out timetable.

Wednesday 25 March 2026 Platinum wellbeing accreditation for Elton Primary School Elton Primary School in Bury, part of The Keep Learning Trust, is celebrating platinum accreditation by popular mental health and wellbeing in schools organisation, myHappymind. Platinum is the highest level of accreditation the NHS-backed programme offers. The award recognises how the school has embedded the myHappymind curriculum into school life and is taking real action to improve the mental health and wellbeing of the school community. The success comes just weeks after local Bury MP James Frith visited the school to observe and praise their work with myHappymind.
